Mobile unit

Clinical description
- A typical mobile unit will consist of an X-ray machine and an Xpert fitted into a mobile
unit. This will improve challenges related to access.
- Mobile teams will be composed of 6 health workers with qualification in clinical care,
laboratory, radiography and health promotion.
- The targets will be individuals in low-income urban areas and a few selected rural
hotpots.
- Symptomatic TB screening and chest x-rays will be used for screening (see Figure 3.31,
Figure 3.32).
- Xpert will be used as a first test.
- HIV testing will be done for all presumptive TB individuals
