Post Exposure Prophylaxis (PEP)

Clinical Description
- PEP involves giving ARV's following possible exposure to HIV to prevent infection.
PEP should be given as soon as possible and within 72hrs of high-risk exposure. For more information, refer to 2021 Clinical Management of HIV in Children and Adults (5th edition, 2021)
