Clinical Description
Chronic debilitating disease caused by an environmental Mycobacterium ulcerans that affects skin and sometimes bone
Signs and Symptoms
- Painless ulcers
- Papules, nodules, plaques, ulcers
- This is an ulcerative skin condition caused by Mycobacterium ulcerans
Treatment
- Depends on stage of condition, but if ulcerated
- Daily wound dressing with Normal Saline 0.9%
- Medicine therapy doesn't usually work
- Surgery
