Pharmacological
- Coincident bacterial vaginosis reduces the effectiveness of single dose Metronidazole treatment
- Asymptomatic male partners should also be treated

Adults
See AVD Syndrome
- Infants with symptomatic trichomoniasis or urogenital colonization persisting after the 4th month
- Give Metronidazole 5 mg/kg 8 hourly for 5days
